Pagudpud...the plan

New year's eve, we were enjoying a feast prepared by all of the girls in the family, my mom, me, and my sister-in-law. While eating, we just went in to a conversation of going out of town. It started after Christmas Day. Normally, our regular New Year's Day activity is bowling. It always is. But if we're planning to go out of town, usually, it's a trip to Baguio or maybe just go to a nearby place, like Tagaytay or Batangas for a short trip. I can't remember now how it was brought up to conversation but we decided to go to Pagudpud. We just need to get everybody's confirmation that we're all ok to go. I even, asked my sister and her family to come along so we can all be there as first timers. Unfortunately, she can't come. This plan has been ON and OFF several times from midnight of Dec 31. Before we sleep, we ended up cancelling anyway, since we are all hesitant for so many reasons and conditions. My Dad, needs to attend to his water delivery business (problem with the truck as sual), My Mom, got robbed from work, My daughter has something in her gums, it was swelling (apart from us having a tight budget). That night, I was actually half-hearted to go. It feels like, we were being stopped to leave for some reason. Morning of New Year's Day, we had breakfast, or more likely, brunch. Still, the plan of going out of town lingers. We went to Festival Mall to do our usual New Year's Day activity, Bowling. After several spares and strikes, we were all not satisfied to just finish bowling and head home to rest. We just want to do more. To make it short, we then decided to pursue this plan. We all agreed to go to Pagudpud. At first, we were supposed to leave at night so we will arrive there with day light. We all know it will a very long drive. But my dad, knew the same and asked that we leave 4 am of Jan 2 so 3 drivers, him, my husband and my brother could get sleep and recharge. I was 5mos pregnant then, btw. We left home at around 5am.
